How to train whilst the world’s on fire pt.2

The world’s still on fire, but we still ought to train. Following on from my other post, here’s another example of how you can you can get some meaningful strength training done in a pretty short period of time - in this case 25 minutes:

Romanian Deadlift/Pendlay Row/Z Press
Set the rack to a height you can Z press out of - this should be fine to then be able to unrack the bar for your Romanian deadlifts. Keeping the weight light to start, perform a set of 6-8 Romanian deadlifts from the rack - on the last rep, put the bar on the floor. Take some weight off and get 6-8 Pendlay rows done - deadlift the bar up and walk it back into the rack. Take some more weight off and complete 6-8 Z press. These are warm-up sets, so they should be really easy. Depending on how they felt, add a little weight to each exercise - still not looking for them to be hard yet, more like moderate. Complete another round, and use these sets to determine what you think will be challenging for 6-8 reps on each exercise (aiming to leave 2-3 reps in reserve for your first sets). This should take you 5 minutes.

Set a timer for 20 minutes, and complete as many rounds of these 3 exercises as you can whilst keeping the rep quality high. This means taking a reasonable amount of rest in-between each exercise (45 seconds or so), and potentially a bit more again after each round. Anywhere between 3-5 rounds is a good spot to be - if you’re much higher than that, you’ll want to go heavier next time. Make a note of the weights, reps and rounds you achieved for each - this then gives you a means of progression. Either go heavier, add reps, or more rounds!
