Client Stories: Old Clothes

One of my clients came in wearing older, smaller clothes the other day because his usual stuff was in the wash. He mentioned he'd been a bit self-conscious about wearing them not too long ago. But now he wasn't.

Changing his body composition has definitely happened. It's not really his main focus. He's in the gym with me three times a week getting stronger, fitter, generally more capable. For me, this is the side of things to get excited about.

If you're new to lifting, going back after a layoff or your training has just been a bit all over the place, odds are I can help you get quite a lot stronger pretty quickly. And it's really objective. You just start being able to do stuff that you couldn't do before.

Once you go into a good rhythm in your training, you're seeing the lifts go up. Maybe you're getting your first press-up, or pull-up, feeling a bit more athletic. You, understandably, are gonna feel pretty good about yourself and what you've achieved.

When you're feeling good, eating a bit better in order to fuel your training comes a bit more naturally. And that's gonna support any body composition changes you might be after.

Working hard to get stronger, fitter and generally improve your health is undeniably something to be proud of. When we build some positive momentum, it tends to snowball in a good way.
